I am passionate about bringing the freedom of aviation to others through knowledge and proficiency.
Background
I have flown numerous different aircraft over the last 20 years including C-130’s for Coast Guard search and rescue, T-6B Texans instructing future Navy/Marine/Coast Guard pilots, The C-90 King Air, the T-34C Turbo Mentor, and a 2013 SR-22T ‘Nimbus’ for fun (my kids named our plane Nimbus after the Harry Potter broomstick and recognizing the irony that it is made by a company named after a different cloud). My wife, three kids, and I currently live in Clearwater Florida and travel as much as possible.
I have been stationed in Clearwater Florida, Kodiak Alaska, Pensacola Florida, and Corpus Christi Texas. I have flown through all 50 states, The Caribbean, Central/South America, Canada, and Japan. When not flying, I enjoy camping, cycling, skiing, and playing with my kids outside.

Philosophy
I have experienced many very positive and many very negative parts of the aviation system during my time flying and have devoted myself to ensuring that my clients receive top notch service. Whether in consulting, contract pilot services, aircraft management, or flight instruction, be sure you are getting the absolute best service possible with Nimbus Aero Services.
My three biggest instructional pet peeves are instructors who are overly heavy on the controls to not let the student really fly, cannot answer technical questions about systems or procedures, and are demeaning in their instructional attitudes. I will strive to never let any of these bad habits enter my instruction, and I am convinced your learning will benefit as a result.
My ability to appropriately guard the controls while allowing students to make mistakes and learn is a direct result of my copious experience instructing in high performance aircraft. See my testimonials page for examples of my many successful and satisfied students. Second, I earned my professional engineering license in mechanical engineering as a challenge to ensure I could explain mechanical and other technical specifics to my students. Finally, I strive to make training fun, rewarding, and worthwhile. I instruct because I enjoy it, I am not trying to merely use it as a stepping stone to something else
